Trump's lawsuit threat against overshadows agenda rollout

Who could have predicted this? As Ohio State set up for a long field goal try that would have left Penn State in a desperate position late in the final quarter, Marcus Allen broke through.Then his dramatic block not only blew up a Buckeyes bid to finally gain strong control of the game, it turned into a win for Penn State. Grant Haley made sure of it. Because Haley scooped up Allen&#8217;s block, then raced 60 yards for the touchdown that lifted Penn State to a monumental 24-21 upset of No. 2 Ohio State.The fantastic finish left a White-Out crowd flooding the field at Beaver Stadium, and left a proud Lions team with one of the program&#8217;s biggest recent triumphs.OFFENSEPenn State didn&#8217;t attempt many passes and only hit a few, but the ones the Lions did connect on had a huge impact. Quarterback Trace McSorley and running back Saquon Barkley did enough to keep Ohio State&#8217;s defense busy. And while the offense didn&#8217;t go out and win the game, it gave the Lions a chance for the special teams to star in the end. Grade: BOFFENSIVE LINE: With Lake-Lehman&#8217;s Connor McGovern opening holes at guard and Lackawanna College alum Paris Palmer at left tackle, the Lions moved enough to score two offensive touchdowns and hang around with powerful Ohio State. Grade: BQUARTERBACK: McSorley refused to lose, throwing a 20-yard touchdown pass to Chris Godwin and scoring on a two-yard run to help set up Penn State&#8217;s stunning victory. Grade: ARUNNING BACKS: Barkley broke loose for a couple of big runs during an otherwise workman-like day and averaged over six yards per carry. Grade: A-WIDE RECEIVERS: DaeSean Hamilton made a fabulous 34-yard catch and Chris Godwin had a great grab of a 20-yard scoring throw with a defender wrapped around him in the end zone. Grade: BDEFENSEA solid job overall, and really turned it up with a chance to win and the game on the line. Grade: ADEFENSIVE LINE: Garrett Sickels and Evan Schwan applied enough pressure to keep Ohio State&#8217;s balanced offensive attack running smoothly. When Evan Schwan and Kevin Givens combined for a sack on Ohio State&#8217;s last offensive play, they wrapped up one of the biggest victories Penn State&#8217;s had in a long time. Grade: BLINEBACKERS: Brandon Bell came back to the lineup with 14 tackles and Jason Cabinda added nine stops in his own return from injury. Cabinda&#8217;s 13-yard sack of Ohio State quarterback J.T. Barrett on the final drive for the Buckeyes pretty much sealed Penn State&#8217;s upset win. Grade: ASECONDARY: Aside from Marcus Baugh&#8217;s 26-yard touchdown catch in the first half, Ohio State&#8217;s receiving corps was hardly heard from. Grade: ASPECIAL TEAMS: Allen&#8217;s block and Haley&#8217;s touchdown return of it more than made up for a sometimes-trying day fro the special teams. The Lions had a first-quarter field goal attempt by Tyler Davis blocked, but returned the favor when Cam Brown blocked a punt that turned into a Davis field goal in the fourth quarter. A bad snap that turned into a safety in the third quarter hurt. Grade: A-COACHING STAFF: James Franklin finally got his signature victory, one they&#8217;[ll remember around Penn State for a long time, and he did it by getting the Lions prepared in all phases of the game. Grade: A+<style>
