Ex-Pennsylvania attorney general Kane hopes to avoid jail for perjury

PITTSTON &#8211; WVIA will host a celebration event Sunday, Nov. 13, at Mohegan Sun Pocono to honor it&#8217;s 50th anniversary. The event will feature a dinner, entertainment, auctions, special guests, surprises and more.WVIA will be honoring three individuals.April Marie Kemp, founder and program director of Marley&#8217;s Mission will receive the WVIA Youth &amp; Family Award.Sondra Myers, director of the Schemel Forum at the University of Scranton, Senior Fellow for International, Civic and Cultural Projects will receive the WVIA Arts &amp; Culture Award.H.W. &#8220;Skip&#8221; Wieder, past board chairman, former WVIA capital campaign co-chair, will receive the WVIA Founders&#8217; Award.Tickets are $150 per individual with table sponsorships starting at $1,000.
