Wilkes-Barre Area School District officials seek public input on new Meyers proposal

<p>Chief Petty Officer (IW/SW/AW) Scott R. McLaughlin has deployed to Haiti from Norfolk, Virginia, with the USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19) in support of Joint Task Force Matthew.</p><p>The task force will be conducting humanitarian relief efforts in the wake of Hurricane Matthew. The Mesa Verde, an amphibious transport docking ship with a crew of 700 soldiers, is deployed along with the aircraft carrier USS George Washington (CVN 73) and the hospital ship USNS Comfort (T-AH-20).</p><p>Chief McLaughlin is the son of retired Master Chief Petty Officer Mark McLaughlin and Patricia, Kingston.</p><style>
