BLOOMSBURG - The Back Mountain Kennel Club will hold its 85th and 86th All Breed Dog Shows and Obedience Trials beginning 8:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 5 and 6, at the Bloomsburg Fairgrounds. The Palisades Kennel Club from New Jersey will host shows on Thursday and Friday, Nov. 3 and 4.Judging begins 8:30 a.m. in the Industrial and Arts and Crafts buildings and continues throughout the day until a dog is awarded Best in Show from the seven groups. There should be more than 1000 dogs competing each day for that title and most of the 189 AKC recognized breeds will be represented.The clubs will be offering informal dog show tours by exhibitors explaining dog shows and what it takes for a dog to become a champion. All judging is indoors and admission and parking are free. Food is available all day.Dogs not in the show are not permitted in the buildings.Information on times each breed is judged is available on www.raudogshows.com.
