Allentown judge sentences ‘cold-blooded’ killer to life for slaying 3

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; John Kenneth Bartleson, 32, was taken into police custody Friday for the 2014 rape of a juvenile in Kirby Park.</p><p>Bartleson, of Plymouth Street in Edwardsville, was apprehended by the Wilkes-Barre Detective Division and transported to police headquarters where he was processed and arraigned.</p><p>Charges of rape stem from a July 14, 2014, case where a female juvenile was raped in a wooded area of Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre. The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment and evidence collection.</p><p>The police investigation identified Bartleson. Formal charges were issued, and the District Attorney&#8217;s Office released a warrant for Bartleson&#8217;s arrest.</p><style>
