<p>KINGSTON &#8212; Aside from the final 10 minutes in both the first and second halves of Monday&#8217;s District 2 Class 2A semifinal against Nanticoke, the Wyoming Seminary boys soccer team has played some of its best soccer of the season during the playoffs.</p><p>Leading up to Monday&#8217;s match, the Blue Knights rebounded nicely from a 3-2 loss to Holy Redeemer in the Wyoming Valley Conference Division 2 Championship on Oct. 24 with a 8-0 win over Carbondale in first round followed by a 4-0 quarterfinals win over Lakeland this past Friday.</p><p>But what has been the difference for Wyoming Seminary this postseason?</p><p>&#8220;I think we&#8217;re really coming together as a team in this postseason,&#8221; Wyoming Seminary senior forward Connor Evans said. &#8220;We&#8217;re playing with more intensity than ever, trying to go as far as we can.&#8221;</p><p>Even though the Blue Knights entered districts winning just two of their last five games, Wyoming Seminary head coach Rev. Charles Carrick believed his team gained some confidence from that tough stretch.</p><p>&#8220;Tough finishing out the regular season. You have Redeemer, Meyers and Lehman, and then you have the divisional championship game,&#8221; Carrick said. &#8220;The guys were a little bit let down (after the division title loss), but I think they came off the field knowing that they have what it takes for the postseason. We&#8217;ve had some good practices since then and hopefully we stay sharp.&#8221;</p><p>However, with the postseason highs have came with a couple lows.</p><p>Facing Nanticoke for the third time on Monday, the Trojans gave Wyoming Seminary its best fight yet. The Blue Knights had beaten Nanticoke 5-1 and 3-0 in the previous two meetings, but were pushed to the brink in the semifinals before pulling out a 3-2 victory. It wasn&#8217;t a perfect game by Wyoming Seminary&#8217;s standards, but the No. 4 seed did enough to win.</p><p>Coach Carrick hopes the one-goal victory has refocused the Blue Knights as they travel to second-seeded Scranton Prep on Wednesday.</p><p>&#8220;Hopefully this was a good wake-up call,&#8221; Carrick said after the 3-2 win. &#8220;It&#8217;s going to be a tough game, so hopefully we&#8217;re a little bit more awake.&#8221;</p><p>Wyoming Seminary has an opportunity to secure its third straight district title on Wednesday at 3:15 p.m. The Blue Knights have won back-to-back District 2 A titles.</p><p>The winner of Wednesday&#8217;s final will host the District 11 champion on Nov. 8 while the loser will travel to either the District 1 or 12 champion.</p><p><strong>Around District 2</strong></p><p>Dallas hosts Crestwood on Wednesday for an all-Wyoming Valley Conference District 3A final 6 p.m.</p><p>This is the third meeting between the two teams this season. The Mountaineers won the first matchup 2-0 on Sept. 15 and the two teams played to a 1-1 tie at Crestwood on Oct. 11.</p><p>Delaware Valley travels to Williamsport for the Disctrict2/4 4A Subregional Championship Wednesday at 4:30 p.m.</p><style>
