Our Opinion: Strengthen town-gown relationship to help make Wilkes-Barre flourish

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A one-woman comedy show based on a popular HBO series is scheduled for a Wyoming Valley stage.</p><p>Kerry Ipema&#8217;s &#8220;One Woman Sex and the City: A Parody of Live, Friendship and Shoes&#8221; takes the stage at 8 p.m. March 23 at the F.M. Kirby Center, 71 Public Square.</p><p>A news release from the Kirby Center said &#8220;Ipema brings to life all of your favorite &#8216;Sex and the City&#8217; characters as they brunch, banter, argue, support each other and swoon over men and Manolos. There will be puns, cosmopolitans and audience participation.&#8221;</p><p>Tickets cost $27.50 in advance and $30 the day of the show and are available through the Kirby Center box office, online at kirbycenter.org and by phone at 570-826-1100 starting at 10 a.m. Nov. 11. A Kirby member pre-sale begins at 10 a.m. Nov. 9 through the same outlets.</p><style>
