The following are recent Luzerne County restaurant inspection reports from the Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture. According the agency: &#8220;any inspection is a &#8216;snapshot&#8217; of the day and time of the inspection. An inspection conducted on any given day may not be representative of the overall, long-term cleanliness of an establishment. Also, at the time of the inspection violations are recorded but are often corrected on site prior to the inspector leaving the establishment.&#8221; The information is taken from the inspection database at www.eatsafepa.com. Change of owner inspection; in compliance.Dino&#8217;s Italian Bistro, Wyoming Valley Mall, Wilkes-Barre, Nov. 4. Follow-up inspection; in compliance. Violations: Interior of microwave, a food contact surface, was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Microwave cleaned. Observed a buildup of grime on the shelves in the equipment storage area. Observed old food residue on shelves in walk-in cooler. Door located in the back area of the food facility has a gap and does not protect against the entry of insects, rodents and other animals.Dragon City, 67 Country Club Shopping Center, Dallas, Nov. 4. Regular inspection; in compliance. Violations: Observed a tray of freshly prepared battered and fried chicken on an uncovered tray in front of the hand-wash sink, increasing the risk for contamination while washing hands. The tray of chicken was moved to the cooler during this inspection. Two containers of pork and several containers of prepared vegetables stored in the walk-in cooler stored open with no covering. The containers were covered during this inspection. Observed a common cup being used to dispense bulk ingredients, the common cup was stored in the containers of bulk ingredient. The common cup was removed and replaced with a handled scoop. Scoop used for dispensing bulk ingredient was stored with the handle in direct contact with the bulk ingredient. Observed the housing (a non food contact surface) of the deli slicer equipment, in prep area, with an accumulation of dried food residue, debris on non-food contact surfaces. Employee stated that the slicer was last used two days ago. The slicer was cleaned and sanitized during this inspection. Observed a buildup of a white residue in the base of the hand-wash sink as well as a black residue around the drain seal. The sink was cleaned during this inspection. The hand-wash sink in the prep area was blocked by a tray of freshly prepared, batter-coated and fried chicken and not accessible at all times for employee use . Assorted repacked and stored made foods offered for retail sale are not labeled/no ingredient information at point of sale. Ice bagged on premises is not labeled for for point of manufacture. Violations: Lemon press, a food contact surface, was observed to have food residue and was not clean to sight and touch. Person in charge cleaned press at time of inspection. Observed food debris in the cracks and along edges in the bain marie. Observed clean food equipment stored wet in a manner that does not allow for draining and/or air drying. Discussed air drying equipment with employees. Observed handle leaking on one hand-wash sink in the kitchen area. Observed 10 rodent-like droppings and a decaying dead mouse on a glue trap under pallets in the dry storage area. Facility does have a pest control provider trapping and monitoring for activity. Mouse was removed and area will be thoroughly cleaned.<style>
