<p>HANOVER TWP. &#8212; The name says it all &#8212; Benny Brewing Co.</p><p>Owner and brewmaster Ben Schonfeld made his brand new, 6,000-square-foot restaurant and brewery reflective of everything he likes.</p><p>From the decor, to the menu, to the beer itself, the facility is all about the discerning tastes of the 36-year-old Nanticoke resident.</p><p>&#8220;My name is on the sign, so it has all the beer and food that I like,&#8221; he said of the location at 1429 Sans Souci Pkwy.</p><p>The restaurant and brewery location will offer a place for Schonfeld to make, can and sell his own beer. The brewery side of the facility, where customers can pick up cases, mini- or half-kegs of beer, has been open for a few weeks.</p><p>&#8220;The beer is fresh,&#8221; he said. &#8220;Sometimes people come in, and they&#8217;re buying beer that was just canned that day.&#8221;</p><p>The restaurant also offers an opportunity to pair the brews with a barbecue-themed menu, bringing out the best of both flavors.</p><p>&#8220;The servers are knowledgeable in what beers pair with what food items,&#8221; said Schonfeld.</p><p>A grand opening is tentatively scheduled for the first week of December.</p><p>The rustic-industrial decor, from the metal beer bucket lampshades to the wood plank walls, was inspired by places Schonfeld had visited throughout the years.</p><p>The patio at the back of the building can serve private parties, where a beer garden filled with hop vines and a large outdoor smoker are also located.</p><p>&#8220;We can seat up to 60 people (on the patio),&#8221; said Schonfeld.</p><p>The facility features an open kitchen and brewery which means, depending on the brewing schedule, guests can see workers actively making the beer they drink, in addition to seeing chefs prepare the food they eat.</p><p>&#8220;Everything is fresh, never frozen,&#8221; he said of the food. &#8220;We make everything in-house.&#8221;</p><p>Schonfeld got his start in brewing 10 years ago and eventually began making beer in his family&#8217;s restaurant, Marty&#8217;s Blue Room in Sheatown, in 2010.</p><p>Schonfeld said his sensitive palate noticed something was off in the styles and brands of beer he liked to drink, which led him to producing his own.</p><p>&#8220;I thought I should try to make my own beer to try to get the flavors right,&#8221; he said.</p><p>The brewing company became established &#8212; Schonfeld said one can find Benny Brewing Co. beers in about 75 different locations throughout the area.</p><p>Schonfeld said after two years of planning and a year of construction, it&#8217;s a relief to finally have all the moving parts in place.</p><p>&#8220;This is a dream come true,&#8221; said the self-taught brewer. &#8220;(It&#8217;s been my dream) for a long time. Ever since the first time I brewed a batch of beer.&#8221;</p><p>Benny Brewing Co. features four styles of beer available all year round and four seasonal offerings. The company also features a &#8220;One &amp; Done&#8221; menu of ever-changing flavors that are brewed once and never repeated.</p><style>
