NORRISTOWN, Pa. (AP) — Officials in suburban Philadelphia say new leads have come in this year in the unsolved 1993 murder of a teenager who disappeared from a train station. Authorities say 18-year-old Julie Barnyock sounded slightly nervous when she called home for a ride from the Lansdale station after a trip to Philadelphia. They say her father could not find her when he arrived, and her bludgeoned body was found three weeks later in a nearby rail yard. Montgomery County District Attorney Kevin Steele says he hopes to solve the Nov. 8, 1993, slaying for her family. Barnyock's mother has said her daughter sometimes befriended homeless people on trips to Philadelphia with friends. Authorities also say she may have been talking to a man in his 20s when she got off the train.
