This is it.The final week of the fantasy football regular season. Well, at least for most of you. The majority of fantasy football leagues start their postseason next week.At this point, you probably know whether or not you&#8217;re making the fantasy playoffs. And if your fantasy future is still unclear, you&#8217;re guaranteed at least one more week of fun.There are two strategies for the final week of the regular season. Hopefully you know what kind of team you have and the makeup of the rest of the league by now. You&#8217;re probably one of two types of teams: A powerhouse, and made some great late-round and free-agency calls that rounded out your lineup along the way, or you&#8217;re struggling to get by, and need guys like Todd Gurley, DeAndre Hopkins, Allen Robinson or Cam Newton to rise to the occasion.So my advice for you, Mr. and Mrs. Powerhouse is this: Don&#8217;t get fancy. You&#8217;ve gotten yourself this far and don&#8217;t need to play guys like Ted Ginn Jr. at your flex because he might find the end zone for the third straight game. Just don&#8217;t. Play the guys that got you this far.For you, Mr. and Mrs. Underdog, here&#8217;s the best way you can set yourself up to survive and advance: If you&#8217;re up against a 20- or even 30-point deficit after Thursday&#8217;s Dallas Cowboys-Minnesota Vikings game, or you&#8217;re just a flat out underdog, you might want to take some shots with your lineup. For example, you might have Kelvin Benjamin or Allen Robinson, who in theory might be a safer bet than a healing Sammy Watkins or a booming Tyreek Hill, but both Watkins and Hill have the ability to turn their days into a bright one with one catch, while Robinson faces the Orange Crush 2.0 and Benjamin faces the Legion of Boom. Put boom or bust guys in your lineups. The worst feeling in the world is having a 20-point performance from DeSean Jackson sitting on your bench while Emmanuel Sanders scores just seven.QuarterbackMust have: Colin Kaepernick, San Francisco 49ersKaepernick has been red-hot the last four weeks, scoring at least 19 points in every game, and a matchup against the Chicago Bears calls for a shootout.You don&#8217;t have to watch the game, just check the box score Monday morning.Could do without: Cam Newton, Carolina PanthersHonestly, I&#8217;m surprised I&#8217;m doing this, but I&#8217;m staying away from Newton this week.If I can pick up Kaepernick from free agency right now, I&#8217;d start him over Cam.Worth a shot: Matt Barkley, Chicago BearsRemember when Barkley was a sure-fire first-round draft pick after his junior season, but then stayed at USC for his senior campaign? Boy, times have changed.In a shootout, Barkley is a plug-and-play if you&#8217;re desperate.Running backMust have: Doug Martin, Tampa Bay BuccaneersThis is the week for Martin&#8217;s 2016 coming out party, and you&#8217;re invited.The Chargers have given up five touchdowns to running backs in the last five games, and have only kept running backs out of the end zone in three games this season. Time to go all in with the Dougernaut.Could do without: Jay Ajayi, Miami DolphinsAfter big weeks against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Buffalo Bills and New York Jets, Ajayi has cooled off in his last three games. Facing the league&#8217;s best run defense, I can&#8217;t imagine Ajayi warming up this week.Worth a shot: Dion Lewis, New England PatriotsWith Rob Gronkowski sidelined for the foreseeable future, Lewis could stand to benefit the most.The former Pitt Panther was a great weapon out of the passing game for the Patriots last season, and with Gronk now out of the lineup, and Martellus Bennett banged up, Lewis could see some additional targets.Wide receiverMust have: Doug Baldwin, Seattle SeahawksThe Carolina Panthers secondary is in part what&#8217;s holding the defending NFC champion back. Baldwin has the ability to take advantage of that secondary Sunday night.Could do without: Kelvin Benjamin, Carolina PanthersBoy, Benjamin has had a rough go of it this season. Drafted as a high-end No. 2 wide receiver, Benjamin has fallen into No. 3 wide receiver territory.A matchup against the Legion of Boom has me weary this week.Worth a shot: Sammy Watkins, Buffalo BillsIt only takes one for Watkins to have a fantasy-relevant day. Just look at Watkins&#8217; game last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. His 62-yard reception made his day.Tight endMust have: Jimmy Graham, Seattle SeahawksGraham has only had a few big games this season, however, facing the Panthers, who have the league&#8217;s worst defense against tight ends, the veteran is in for a monster day.Could do without: Martellus Bennett, New England PatriotsI know Marty has been a trendy pick with Gronk most likely out the rest of the season, but he&#8217;s banged up too. The Rams are good against tight ends, so I&#8217;m staying away from Bennett if I can this week.Worth a shot: Zach Ertz, Philadelphia EaglesI&#8217;ve been wanting Ertz to break out for weeks. In a matchup against an underwhelming Cincinnati Bengals secondary, this could be that week.<style>
