<p><strong>Philharmonic</strong></p><p><strong>a true jewel</strong></p><p>When my wife and I relocated to Northeastern Pennsylvania earlier this year, we fully anticipated having to adjust our expectations regarding access and possibly even the quality of arts offerings.</p><p>It is no small thing, therefore, to say we have been happily surprised by what NEPA has in the way of music, theatre and other arts and culture. In particular, the Northeastern Pennsylvania Philharmonic, under the apt direction of Lawrence Loh, has delighted us with masterful performances of smartly selected orchestral music.</p><p>The venues are classy and inviting, and the acoustics at Wyoming Seminary are particularly fantastic. Maestro Loh&#8217;s interaction with audiences is just enough to enhance the music, and his interpretation of a variety of compositions shows an expert understanding of both the context and intention of each artist.</p><p>Certainly not least, the musicians themselves warrant great admiration and respect, delivering live performances, the experience of which simply cannot be replicated through a headset or speaker. The philharmonic is a tremendous asset to the region, and your readers are well advised to make time to enjoy a performance and support this fine organization.</p><p>The richness of a city comes from many places, and the quality of this orchestra is a direct reflection on the quality of life in Northeast Pennsylvania both today and in the future.</p><p><strong>Chris Simpler</strong></p><p>Northeastern Pa.</p><style>
