<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A threat posted online prompted increased security at Meyers High School Monday and Tuesday. Superintendent Brian Costello said that, while the investigation is ongoing, their is no risk to students.</p><p>Several Wilkes-Barre city police cars were at the school during dismissal Tuesday, as well as a substantial part of the district&#8217;s security force.</p><p>Costello said authorities were made aware Sunday of a threat posted on Facebook &#8220;from a student outside of our district,&#8221; and that district and city authorities acted quickly &#8220;to resolve the situation.&#8221;</p><p>Security was increased Monday. A second threat was discovered Tuesday, which District Police Operations Director Brian Lavan said did not come &#8220;from anyone in the school,&#8221; but that person was also quickly identified. In both cases, Lavan said, police arrested the individuals.</p><p>&#8220;We&#8217;re taking every precaution,&#8221; Lavan said, specifically praising city officers. &#8220;We&#8217;re getting great cooperation from the Wilkes-Barre Police Department.&#8221;</p><style>
