Scranton man sentenced to prison for role in sex trafficking conspiracy

<p>NANTICOKE &#8212; City police said they have arrested two men accused of <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/local/612256/nanticoke-police-woman-alerted-bystanders-to-robbery-by-honking-car-horn" target="_blank">stealing a purse from an elderly woman</a> earlier this month.</p><p>Richard Vanorden, 39, and Justin Healey, 22, both of Nanticoke, each face a single charge of criminal conspiracy to commit theft.</p><p>Police also said Jonathan Healey, no age given, of Scranton, will be summoned to court for a charge of theft by unlawful taking as a result of the incident.</p><p>On Dec. 1, a 72-year-old city resident reported to police that after she finished grocery shopping at the Weis supermarket, 1 Weis Plaza, a man opened the front passenger door of her vehicle and grabbed her purse.</p><p>The woman alerted bystanders by honking her car horn, according to police.</p><p>Police said investigation determined that while all three suspects conspired to steal the purse, Jonathan Healy was the suspect that stole the purse while Vanorden distracted the woman.</p><p>Vanorden and Justin Healey were held at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for overnight arraignment. Criminal dockets for the the suspects could not be found as of Wednesday morning.</p><style>
