<p>HAZLETON &#8212; A man is facing charges after he allegedly barricaded himself in a residence with his girlfriend.</p><p>Eric McAdams, no age given, faces charges of unlawful restraint, simple assault, and recklessly endangering another person stemming from the incident.</p><p>At approximately 7:30 p.m. Monday, police were dispatched to a residence in the 100 block of Muir Avenue for a report of an armed man barricaded inside a residence.</p><p>Police said the 911 caller indicated that McAdams was inside the residence on the second floor and holding his girlfriend from her own free will, while threatening to &#8220;shoot.&#8221; It was also reported that another woman inside the home attempted to intervene between McAdams and his girlfriend, at which point McAdams alleegdly pointed a weapon at the woman&#8217;s head and ordered her out of the room.</p><p>Hazleton patrol units responded with the assistance of Pennsylvania State Police, West Hazleton Police and Butler Township Police. Officers secured the location and established a perimeter around the house, and were able to safely remove other occupants of the home.</p><p>Officers then made contact with McAdams using a public address system, and they ordered him to come out of the residence. Police said McAdams came out of the residence without incident, along with his girlfriend, and was taken into custody.</p><p>McAdams&#8217; girlfriend was not harmed, police said.</p><p>Officers allegedly seized a loaded 12-gauge Mossberg shotgun from the residence.</p><p>&#8220;Thanks to quick and decisive action by the officers involved, everyone was removed safely, a weapon recovered and the actor apprehended,&#8221; said Hazleton police chief Jerry Speziale in a news release. &#8220;The courage and selfless disregard for personal safety displayed by the officers involved is indicative of their dedication to the citizens.&#8221;</p><p>A criminal docket for McAdams could not be found as of Tuesday morning.</p><style>
