Backpack Awareness Day at Chester Street Elementary

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Police have issued an arrest warrant for a man accused of assaulting a woman early Tuesday morning.</p><p>Police said the victim was at a local hospital for injuries at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday when she reported the assault.</p><p>The woman reported that Christopher Ford, 27, of Wilkes Barre struck her, hit her head off a wall, and strangled her.</p><p>Police said the victim had injuries consistent with the attack she described. Officers attempted to locate Ford, but were unsuccessful.</p><p>A warrant has been issue for Ford&#8217;s arrest. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department at 570-208-4200.</p><style>
