<p>LAFLIN &#8212; One man was hospitalized Wednesday night after a crash on state Route 315 involving a car and a tractor-trailer.</p><p>The car appeared to be traveling south on Route 315 near the Oblates of Saint Joseph when a tractor-trailer attempted to turn onto the roadway from Pittston Avenue, according to Laflin Assistant Fire Chief Drew Malvizzi.</p><p>The car ended up wedged beneath the tractor-trailer. It took about 10 minutes for emergency responders to free the car&#8217;s driver from the crash.</p><p>He was taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township and was in serious condition, according to Malvizzi.</p><p>There were no passengers in the car, and the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.</p><p>The Jenkins Township and Laflin fire departments, Plains Township Ambulance and the Pennsylvania State Police responded to the crash.</p><p>Also on scene were the Pennsylvania State Police crash reconstruction unit.</p><style>
