Snow, wintry mix in the forecast through the midweek

<p>RICE TWP. &#8212; Police have identified the man killed in a motor vehicle crash early Monday morning.</p><p>Officials at the Luzerne County Coroner&#8217;s Office identified the man as Erik Smith, 24, of Rice Township. He was pronounced dead at 3:17 a.m., and the cause of death was ruled as multiple traumatic injuries.</p><p>David Pettit, chief of the Wright Township Fire Department, said crews from his department were dispatched to a crash on Nuangola Road at approximately 2:30 a.m. for traffic control.</p><p>An official at the Rice Township Police Department said the crash involved one vehicle, and that the car rolled over onto its roof. Smith was ejected from the vehicle, according to police.</p><p>No one else was in Smith&#8217;s car at the time of the crash. The crash is under investigation.</p><style>
