Associated Press &#8212; Baylor is No. 1 in The Associated Press men&#8217;s basketball poll for the first time.The Bears (15-0) have made a meteoric rise in the poll, going from a team that didn&#8217;t receive a vote in the preseason poll to one that received 55 first-place votes from the 65-member national media panel on Monday.Baylor is the 59th school to be ranked No. 1 since the poll started in the 1948-49 season. Behringer got 12.34 percent.&#8220;I honestly was not expecting this,&#8221; Lloyd said. &#8220;I know Melanie did fantastic in the Olympics.&#8221;Review of concussion protocol on Moore beginsMIAMI (AP) &#8212; The NFL and NFL Players Association have begun a review of the concussion protocol conducted on Miami Dolphins quarterback Matt Moore when he left his team&#8217;s playoff game at Pittsburgh after being shaken up.The review doesn&#8217;t mean the NFL has drawn conclusions as to whether the protocol was followed, the league said in a statement Monday.Moore was hurt when hit as he threw a pass Sunday, and the play drew a roughing the passer penalty on Pittsburgh&#8217;s Bud Dupree.Dolphins medical staff attended to Moore on the field, and he was evaluated on the sideline by an unaffiliated neurological consultant and team physician before returning to the game after missing one play.Nets waive former No. 1 overall pickBennett, 23, signed a two-year deal with the Nets on July 14, but played in just 23 games this season, including one start, and averaged 5.0 points and 3.4 rebounds in 11.5 minutes per game. He also spent time with the Nets&#8217; D-League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.&#8220;He was a good professional. (AP) &#8212; A witness expected to testify at the upcoming double murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez has been sentenced to five years in prison for his involvement in a 2014 Connecticut bar shooting.The Hartford Courant reports Alexander Bradley was sentenced Monday for illegally possessing a firearm and reckless endangerment.Bradley fired at the bar shortly after being shot. He told a judge he was going through traumatic events and isn&#8217;t the same person he was then.Bradley testified during Hernandez&#8217;s first murder trial, for the 2013 killing of a man who was dating the sister of Hernandez&#8217;s fiancee.Prosecutors say Bradley was a witness to the 2012 double killing. Hernandez is accused of shooting Bradley in the face in Florida in 2013 so he wouldn&#8217;t talk.Hernandez has pleaded not guilty.<style>
