CVS to sell generic version of EpiPen at 1/6th the price

The AARP Foundation, in cooperation with the Marian Sutherland Library, in Mountain Top, and Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilkes-Barre, will provide free tax preparation and e-filing for Federal and State Income Taxes for area residents. Available to all taxpayers with lower and middle incomes with special attention to those 60 and older. Taxpayers are not required to belong to AARP to be eligible for this service.To assure tax forms are properly completed, bring a photo ID, social security card for taxpayer, spouse and all dependents; copy of 2015 tax returns, social security statement, 1099&#8217;s, W-2 wage statements, interest or dividend statements and property tax receipts for 2016, if filing for a property tax rebate along with any other tax forms you received in 2016. If filing a joint return both taxpayers must be present. Appointments are required.At the Kirby Library, 35 Kirby Ave., Mountain Top, tax assistance will be available Wednesdays beginning Feb. 8 through April 12. Call 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at 570-868-6732 to make an appointment. Do not call the library for appointments.At Good Shepherd Church, 190 S. Main St., Wilkes-Barre, tax assistance is available Tuesdays beginning Feb. 7 through April 11. Call 10 a.m.- 1 p.m. Monday through Friday at 570-678-3504 to make an appointment.
