Seven boys basketball games postponed

Misericordia University is hosting &#8220;Oral History Projects in Northeastern Pennsylvania: The Importance of Stories,&#8221; at 7 p.m. Jan. 25 in the McGowan Room of the Bevevino Library.The program will consist of six-speakers who will each briefly discuss an area oral history project with which they have been affiliated and the audience will be invited to join the discussion.Speakers are: Lucia Dailey, Scranton; Ron Faraday, Pittston; Melissa Meade, Shenandoah; Noreen O&#8217;Connor, Wilkes-Barre; F. Charles Petrillo, Hanover Township, and Mary Policare, Pittston.Professor Jennifer Black of the department of history and government at Misericordia University will serve as the moderator. Speakers are Lucia Dailey, Scranton; Ron Faraday, Pittston; Melissa Meade, Shenandoah; Noreen O&#8217;Connor, Wilkes-Barre; F. Charles Petrillo, Hanover Township and Mary Policare, Pittston.Light refreshments will be served.Organized in cooperation with the University&#8217;s history department, the evening is one of several events during Mining History Month-2017.
