<p>WILKES-BARRE TWP. &#8212; Wet Seal at the Wyoming Valley Mall is set to close.</p><p>An employee at the teen clothing retailer, who did not wish to be identified, said Friday that sales started this week. An exact closing date could not be confirmed.</p><p>In a letter obtained by <a href="http://www.wsj.com/articles/apparel-retailer-wet-seal-to-close-all-stores-1485453021" target="_blank">The Wall Street Journal</a> dated Jan. 20, officials announced the retailer&#8217;s plans to close all its stores due to its failure to find investors or a buyer for the company.</p><p>The retailer has 171 stores in 42 states, according to its website.</p><p>The clothing seller filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2015.</p><style>
