Frigid temperatures in the forecast for the Wyoming Valley

<p>While things are gray and gloomy right now, here are a few images to remind us of brighter days to come.</p><p>Tom Thornton snapped these photos of Ruby-throated hummingbirds visiting his backyard feeder in Blakeslee last August. While the hummingbirds provided a bit of vibrant color in the summer, right now they are far away spending the winter in the warmer climate on Central America. It&#8217;s a long journey for such a diminutive bird as some of them even cross the Gulf of Mexico in a single flight. Considering a hummingbird beats its wings nearly 53 times a second, imagine how many wingbeats it takes to cross the Gulf of Mexico without stopping.</p><p><em>Capture anything interesting on your hand-held or trail camera?
