<p>I do not trust President Donald Trump.</p><p>His arrogant narcissism is nauseating. He scares me on so many levels. </p><p>But it&#8217;s time for Trump to demonstrate his trumpeted negotiator and innovator prowess. Trump toots, or tweets, and now dictates that we&#8217;ll start building his border wall, and Mexico will pay for it &#8230; later, eventually.</p><p>I certainly am not a climate-change denier, like this new president and his newly-appointed environmental &#8220;protectors&#8221; in the administration. </p><p>But here are two proposals to turn an authoritarian&#8217;s decrees into something a bit more positive: Build that border wall, but build most of it, if not all of it, using 20-foot high solar panels. We pay for half. Mexico pays for half. We get half of the created solar energy. Mexico gets half.</p><p>Trump gets his wall and can also then brag that he knows what renewable energy is. The wall will pay for itself. It&#8217;ll be great. It&#8217;ll be huge.</p><p>Trump has also announced all systems go on resuming the construction of two major fossil-fuel pipelines. Both of these projects should certainly be stopped.</p><p>But if he&#8217;s dead set on more environmental destruction, couldn&#8217;t small turbines be placed inside the pipelines, and the oil flow used to create energy as well?
