<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A girl was shot Monday night during a fight near the intersection of Metcalf and Hutson streets.</p><p>The unidentified girl was hit in the leg and transported to an area hospital.</p><p>&#8220;I don&#8217;t think it&#8217;s life-threatening,&#8221; said Wilkes-Barre Police Commander of Investigations Joe Coffay.</p><p>Two men involved in the fight were taken into custody but neither was the shooter, Coffay said.</p><p>Neighbors said they heard what sounded like an argument before gunshots rang out.</p><p>One neighbor who declined to give his name said he went outside and saw a woman come out of a house a few doors down and say,&#8221;My sister got shot in the leg.&#8221;</p><p>Kevin Nichols, 46, said the fight started on Metcalf Street next to row homes that have been a trouble spot in the neighborhood.</p><p>Police responded around 8:15 p.m. and blocked off Hutson Street between Lehigh and Dana streets.</p><p>The shots appeared to have been fired from Metcalf and several struck the front porch of the house at the corner of Metcalf and Dana. Officers placed yellow, numbered markers on the pavement where shell casings lay and probed the porch that was struck by bullets.</p><p>A member of the state police Records and Identification Division was called to the scene to assist in the investigation and photographed the shell casings and bullet holes.</p><style>
