<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; The son of a city district judge has been accused of driving drunk and fleeing the scene of an accident.</p><p>According to court documents:</p><p>Thomas Francis Malloy, 23, the son of District Judge Thomas Malloy, was arrested Feb. 20 after a crash at West Ross and South Main streets around 1:54 a.m.</p><p>When officers arrived, they were advised a white man wearing a black sweatshirt, later identified as Malloy, had run behind a Dollar General store. Officers began to search for the male.</p><p>At the scene was a black 2015 Chevrolet Silverado with damage to its right front; a silver 2007 Subaru Forester, approximately 50 feet into the intersection with moderate damage; and a gray 2008 Chevrolet Impala with left rear damage.</p><p>Officers located Malloy on South Main Street. He said he was driving the Silverado involved in the crash and admitted to drinking alcohol prior to getting behind the wheel.</p><p>He was taken into custody on suspicion of DUI. At Wilkes-Barre Police Headquarters, Malloy submitted to a breath test. His blood-alcohol content was tested at .17 percent, more than twice the driving limit of .08.</p><p>Besides DUI, Malloy faces two summary counts of causing an accident involving damage to an unattended vehicle and a summary count of careless driving.</p><p>He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing April 11 at 9 a.m. before District Judge Rick Cronauer.</p><style>
