Day care worker charged, video shows child pushed down steps

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. (AP) — Administrators at a Pennsylvania university hosted an open forum to address concerns about a photo circulating of two students in blackface. LNP news reports (http://bit.ly/2lzhbvY ) Millersville University officials on Monday night fielded concerns from students and apologized for unsatisfactory responses to the Feb. 1 incident. Officials say two female students wearing charcoal facial masks posted a Snapchat photo with a Black History Month filter that read "Young, Black & Proud." Several students at the forum criticized university President John Anderson for his perceived inaction. Others questioned the campus' climate and ongoing problems with discrimination. Anderson promised to change the culture after apologizing to students. Other administrators also spoke and acknowledged the school's shortcomings.
