On eve of trial, mother of ambushed trooper seeks justice

MILFORD, Pa. (AP) — The mother of a slain Pennsylvania state police trooper says she is seeking a measure of justice for her son when his alleged killer stands trial. Jury selection in the capital murder trial of Eric Frein (freen) opens Thursday in the Philadelphia suburbs. The 33-year-old anti-government survivalist is charged with killing Cpl. Bryon Dickson III and critically injuring Trooper Alex Douglass in a 2014 sniper attack. Frein led police on a 48-day manhunt before his capture. Darla Dickson says Frein "killed without restraint" and "needs to be held accountable." Frein has pleaded not guilty. He faces a potential death sentence.
