<p>Producers of the Electric City Music Conference have announced that nominations for the 2017 Steamtown Music Awards are open from now until June 15.</p><p>The public can nominate favorite acts in the categories of Acoustic/Solo, Best New Artist, Blues/R&amp;B, Country, DJ, Duo, Electronic, Folk/Americana, Hip Hop/Urban, Indie, Jam/Reggae, Jazz/Swing/Big Band, Metal, Pop/Top 40, Punk/Hardcore, Rock/Alt Rock, Tribute/Cover, Music Video of the Year, Song of the Year and Album of the Year.</p><p>Individual awards are also open for nomination in the categories of Male Vocalist, Female Vocalist, Guitarist, Bassist, Drummer, and Best Auxiliary Musician (Keyboard, Piano, Saxophone, etc.).</p><p>Local music industry professionals can be nominated in the categories of Recording Studio, Music Publication, Music Journalist, Radio Station, Radio DJ/Personality and Music Photographer.</p><p>New in 2017, the SMA&#8217;s will honor the NEPA Music Fan of the Year, Podcast of the Year and Live Stream Performer of the Year.</p><p>Nominations can be made by visiting <a href="http://bit.ly/2nBKvP4" target="_blank">bit.ly/2nBKvP4.</a></p><style>
