Let March Madness begin

<p>Five PIAA state basketball games involving Wyoming Valley Conference boys and girls teams were postponed Thursday and moved to Friday.</p><p>In Class 4A boys, GAR will play West Philadelphia at 5 p.m. Friday at Bethlehem Liberty High School. Holy Redeemer will play Neumann-Goretti at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Bethlehem Liberty in a Class 3A game.</p><p>The Nanticoke boys will play Conwell-Egan in a Class 4A game at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Parkland High School. The Nanticoke girls will play Gwynedd Mercy at 5 p.m. Friday at Parkland in a 4A contest.</p><p>The Holy Redeemer girls will play Mount Carmel at 8 p.m. Friday at Hazleton Area High School in a 3A game.</p><p>The winners of those games will have their quarterfinal games moved to Sunday.</p><p>Two games are still scheduled to be played Thursday. The Wyoming Valley West girls will play Springfield Delco at 6 p.m. at the Easton Middle School in a 5A second-round game. The Berwick girls will play Lower Moreland at 8 p.m. at Hamburg High School.</p><p>Several other games, including those involving Lackawanna League teams, have also been shifted to Friday. The PIAA will be updating brackets at piaa.org.</p><style>
