Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Vince Gill to play Kirby Center in June

DALLAS - the GFWC -Harvey&#8217;s Lake will be celebrating 70 years of devoted community service May 4 at the lrem Country Club at their spring dinner meeting. New members and new officers will be installed.Since it&#8217;s inception in 1947, the Harvey&#8217;s Lake Women&#8217;s Club has been a dynamic force in the community, striving to bring financial aid and support to many projects in Harvey&#8217;s Lake and the surrounding Back Mountain area.Their fundraising efforts through the club&#8217;s annual raffle have provided funding for student scholarships, annual cheer baskets for the elderly, and donations to fire victims and sports teams.With their true volunteer spirit, they have provided assistance to Ruth&#8217;s Place, the VA Medical Center, Meadows on the Pond, Luzerne County Fair, as well as local shelters and food banks.If you are a past-member and would like to attend our dinner meeting, or would like to become a member, please contact Kathy Moretti at lakegirlkam@aol.com.
