<p>Rain is expected for most of the weekend, and it could cause some flooding as the snowpack continues to melt.</p><p>The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch for Luzerne County until Sunday morning. The Susquehanna River is expected to crest at 21.5 feet at 2 a.m. Sunday in Wilkes-Barre. Flood stage is 22 feet and minor flooding begins in lowland areas unprotected by the Wyoming Valley levee system.</p><p>Snow will continue to melt into the Susquehanna River through Saturday. That melting, along with an additional 1 to 1.5 inches of rain through Friday night, could cause minor flooding along the Susquehanna river.</p><p>Smaller streams, roadside ditches, and urban areas may also experience flooding.</p><p><strong>The forecast</strong></p><p>The National Weather Service indicated it was 37 degrees as of 6:54 a.m. at the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport, and light rain was reported.</p><p>Rain is expected today, and up to three quarters of an inch of rain could fall. Winds could also gust as high as 24 mph. Today&#8217;s high will be near 42.</p><p>Rain will continue into tonight, with up to a half an inch of rainfall possible. Winds could also gust as high as 23 mph. Tonight&#8217;s low will be around 36.</p><p>Saturday will also bring a likelihood of rain before 8 a.m. Less than a tenth of an inch of rain is expected, and mostly cloudy skies are expected otherwise. The high will be near 46.</p><p>Mostly cloudy skies will follow into Saturday night, with a low around 35.</p><p>Mostly sunny skies will round out the weekend on Sunday, with a high near 54. Flood watch issued for Luzerne County through Sunday
