<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; The creative minds at Maslow Lumia Bartorillo Advertising Inc. have a &#8220;results-focused approach&#8221; to their clients.</p><p>That philosophy has earned the North Franklin Street business the Times Leader&#8217;s Readers&#8217; Choice Award for b<a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/525154/wilkes-barres-mlb-advertising-wins-times-leaders-readers-choice-award-with-results-focused-approach" target="_blank">est advertising agency</a> for the fourth year in a row.</p><p>Agency partner John Bartorillo said what he cares about the most is creating unique and effective messages for the customers his clients reach.</p><p>MLB clients include Gerrity&#8217;s Supermarkets, Allied Services Integrated Health System and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport.</p><p>The agency employs a small team of business developers, art directors and marketing and digital media specialists.</p><p>&#8220;For Gerrity&#8217;s, we talk to the people that are in the store,&#8221; Bartorillo said. &#8220;We talk to them on billboards, in the newspaper, through social media and other e-commerce media that exist. It&#8217;s a diverse group of customers, because they are &#8230; generational.&#8221;</p><p>Allied Health Services, Bartorillo said, requires reaching many different customers who require a wide range of services that are relevant to them.</p><p>&#8220;Two things the agency always tries to maintain are relevance and thoughtfulness,&#8221; Bartorillo said. &#8220;Without relevance and thoughtfulness, what you just have is transaction. We want to understand the reason for what we&#8217;re doing.&#8221;</p><p>Bartorillo said the MLB team meets with clients to understand their brand and, in a re-branding scenario, offers perspective to allow clients to look at themselves objectively.</p><p>&#8220;What ties it all together is the value of branding,&#8221; Bartorillo said. &#8220;Branding is essential in today&#8217;s environment with so many people fighting for attention.&#8221;</p><p>Bartorillo said creating a meaningful, relevant brand that stands out and has longevity is the agency&#8217;s ultimate goal with each client.</p><p>Gerrity&#8217;s theme, It Pays to Shop with Mom, was created to highlight its owner, Joyce Fasula, and relate to its customer base.</p><p>&#8220;What&#8217;s unique about Gerrity&#8217;s is it&#8217;s owned and run by a woman, and women are major buyers in the customer base,&#8221; Bartorillo said.</p><p>After interviewing hundreds of employees and patients in the Allied Services system, MLB found an abundance of patients used the word miracle, including a man who was hit by a car and recovered to run half marathons.</p><p>&#8220;The theme we developed was Miracles in Rehab Performed Daily,&#8221; Bartorillo said. &#8220;We do it all the time. It&#8217;s as relevant to the internal employees as to the external patients that might seek services.&#8221;</p><p>Business development agent Mike Avvisato brings in new clients and manages their accounts.</p><p>&#8220;We meet with clients and understand what they need,&#8221; Avvisato said. &#8220;Are they trying to be on TV, be in the newspaper, do a brochure, start a website?&#8221;</p><p>Avvisato said MLB promotes a team atmosphere in providing the best service to clients, bringing creative and administrative minds together.</p><p>&#8220;A lot of times we&#8217;ll be brought into meetings to know clients as well and know the style of what they&#8217;re looking for,&#8221; art director Kristen Blake said.</p><p>Blake said designers will often come up with three to five logos based on an idea and present them to clients for consideration, a practice she enjoys.</p><p>&#8220;I love being creative every single day,&#8221; Blake said. &#8220;The great thing about working for MLB is every day is different. &#8230; And I love everyone I work with.&#8221;</p><p><ins>For other business stories, <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/category/business" target="_blank">click here</a>.</ins></p><style>
