Swoyersville out $18K for snow removal; seeks donations for Easter event

<p>WILKES-BARRE TWP. &#8212; A woman is charged with retail theft and other related charges after police said she stole $131 worth of Walmart merchandise.</p><p>According to police, Paige Jackson, 24, stole merchandise from the store around 11:30 p.m. Saturday then fled from police, who apprehended her in the parking lot.</p><p>Police said Jackson was found to be in possession of 10 empty heroin packets and five hypodermic needles.</p><p>Jackson, of Barnesville, was charged with retail theft, false identification to law enforcement, resisting arrest and possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.</p><p>She is jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility for lack of $5,000 cash bail.</p><p>Her preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1 p.m. April 12 before District Judge Michael Dotzel, court papers indicate.</p><style>
