Minor flooding in lowland areas expected with rise of Susquehanna River in Wyoming Valley, no structures in danger

<p>HUNLOCK CREEK &#8212; A Philadelphia woman hid balloons full of drug strips in her vagina, retrieved them when she went to a restroom, and then passed them to an inmate via a kiss, authorities report.</p><p>It happened at the Retreat state prison last fall, but charges were just filed in late March, court records show.</p><p>Laquisha Bradley and Omar Tucker are now facing felony narcotics charges.</p><p>Here are more details from a criminal complaint:</p><p>Bradley, 30, was visiting Tucker, 37, at the prison in September 2016. Bradley had two balloons in her vagina, which she retrieved when she went to the restroom.</p><p>After placing both balloons &#8212; each filled with 15 strips of Suboxone &#8212; in her mouth, the pair transferred possession of the balloons via a kiss. Tucker then swallowed both balloons.</p><p>Suboxone is a prescription medication used to treat opioid addiction.</p><p>At the conclusion of their visit, Tucker was placed in a &#8220;dry cell&#8221; due to the suspicion that he swallowed narcotics. Tucker excreted one balloon by Oct. 8, and turned it over to an officer.</p><p>During an Oct. 18 interview, Tucker admitted to excreting the other balloon and destroying it.</p><p>The narcotics were tested by State Police and determined to contain buprenorphine, which is an ingredient of Suboxone.</p><p>Both Bradley and Tucker are facing felony counts of possession of a controlled substance and manufacturing or intent to deliver a controlled substance. Tucker is also facing a count of tampering with evidence.</p><p>Court documents indicate Tucker was sentenced to life in state prison for a Philadelphia County murder in 2003.</p><p>Bradley is free on $50,000 unsecured bail after a preliminary hearing March 28 in front of District Judge Donald Whittaker.</p><p>No further court dates for either person were immediately available.</p><style>
