Our view: King’s right to honor coal miners

<p>DALLAS &#8212; Despite a rumor to the contrary Friday, there was no threat made on social media against students, teachers or administrators in the Dallas School District, according to Superintendent Thomas Duffy.</p><p>&#8220;There was no threat,&#8221; Duffy said.</p><p>Duffy said that a student had published &#8220;something foolish&#8221; on social media and it got &#8220;blown out of proportion tremendously.&#8221;</p><p>While the rumor did cause the district&#8217;s offices to field some extra phone calls, it did not affect the school day.</p><p>&#8220;As far as operationally, school bells are ringing and children are going to class,&#8221; Duffy said.</p><style>
