<p>Javier &#193;vila, will host a presentation at Penn State Hazleton entitled &#8216;The Trouble with My Name: Shedding Light on the American Latino Experience,&#8217; 7 p.m., April 12, in room 115 of the Evelyn Graham Academic Building. This event is free and open to the public. &#193;vila is from San Juan, Puerto Rico, and teaches literature and writing at Northampton Community College. He received the 2015 Pennsylvania Professor of the Year Award by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and the Council for Advancement and Support of Education. He is the first Latino to receive this honor. He is the recipient of the 2016 Hispanic Leader of the Year Award by the Lehigh Valley Chamber of Commerce.</p><style>
