Man arrested on drug 'rescue' trip rejects plea deal offer

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Authorities say a shooting in northwest Philadelphia claimed the life of one man and critically injured another. Officers responded just after 9:30 p.m. Sunday to a report of a person with a gun in the city's Strawberry Mansion section and found two people outside, both with multiple gunshot wounds. The two were taken to Temple University Hospital, where a 27-year-old man was pronounced dead just before 10 p.m. Sunday. A 47-year-old man was listed in critical condition. Police said the motive for the shooting is unknown and no arrests were immediately reported.
