Likely murder-suicide at school kills 2 adults, 1 student

<p>HANOVER TWP. &#8212; Hanover Area School District will get to upgrade its kitchen with some new large kettles thanks to a federal grant.</p><p>State Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski, D-Wilkes-Barre, sent out a news release Monday announcing a $20,130 food services equipment grant from the United States Department of Agriculture.</p><p>The grants are intended to help schools upgrade kitchen equipment and infrastructure in an effort to serve healthier meals. Superintendent Andrew Kuhl said the kettles replace fryers that were largely barred by federal law under the administration of former President Barack Obama.</p><p>The district is in need of upgrades regardless of the law, Kuhl said. The kitchen at the junior/senior high school still has equipment from the 1970s that the district has been gradually replacing when money was available.</p><style>
