Judge hears arguments on Morelli’s appeal of Griffith remaining on ballot

<p>The Swoyersville Kiwanis is again offering three- $1,000 scholarship awards to high school seniors in 2017 who reside in Swoyersville, Luzerne and Forty Fort. In addition, a $1,000 scholarship will be awarded in memory of Eugene and Eleanor Brezney. Contact S. Williams at 570-606-1153 or email k-swoyer@comcast.net for an application. It must be post marked and returned by May 18. Winners will receive letters in the mail on May 26 and will be guests along with their families at a Scholarship Awards dinner meeting. Judging is based on financial need, community service, school involvement and studies. Members of the committee are Paula Van Scoy, Sandy Williams and Jane Wallace.</p><style>
