Once critical of global deals, Trump slow to pull out of any

<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; The man <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/local/597650/police-coroner-on-scene-at-apparently-fatal-shooting-in-wilkes-barre" target="_blank">accused of shooting and killing Victor Grandy</a> after an argument at the Sherman Hills apartment complex last fall has been returned to Pennsylvania to answer to homicide charges.</p><p>Dominic Ray, 24, of Wilkes-Barre, was arraigned before District Judge Thomas Malloy Sr. on Thursday.</p><p>Wilkes-Barre police responded to Sherman Hills the night of Oct. 16 to investigate a report of a shooting in the area of 300 Parkview Circle.</p><p>According to a criminal complaint, detectives reviewed footage from several surveillance cameras in the area of the shooting with a Sherman Hills employee.</p><p>The video reportedly shows Grandy, 32, meeting with two men the night of the murder, one of whom was identified as Ray.</p><p>A verbal argument ensued at some point, and the footage shows Ray becoming physically aggressive toward Grandy. When Grandy tried to walk away, Ray allegedly fired in his direction.</p><p>The footage later shows Grandy running up a ramp toward the apartment complex and collapsing by an entrance.</p><p>Paramedics who responded found the victim was already dead when they got there, according to police.</p><p>The coroner&#8217;s office said Grandy died of a gunshot wound to the chest area.</p><p>Authorities quickly identified Ray as the murder suspect.</p><p>On Oct. 18, just two days after the shooting, an arrest warrant was issued. It charged him with homicide and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.</p><p>But attempts to find Ray in Wilkes-Barre were unsuccessful, and authorities eventually asked the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force to assist in locating the suspect.</p><p>Members of the task force tracked Ray to New York City, and he was <a href="https://www.timesleader.com/news/local/622251/u-s-marshals-arrest-sherman-hills-homicide-suspect-in-manhattan" target="_blank">arrested by U.S. Marshals</a> in January in Manhattan.</p><p>Ray is now scheduled for a preliminary hearing before Judge Malloy at 10 a.m. on May 4.</p><p>In the meantime, he was jailed at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility with no bail since he&#8217;s facing a count of homicide.</p><p>Grandy was from Far Rockaway, New York, which is a neighborhood in the borough of Queens.</p><style>
