Commonwealth Court makes historic stop in Luzerne County

Luzerne County Transportation Authority will receive one of the 29 compressed natural gas fueling stations.Governor Tom Wolf announced Thursday the $84.5 million statewide project, which will supply gas to more than 1,6000 natural gas buses throughout the commonwealth as part of a public private partnership.County of Lackawanna Transportation System will also receive a station.Construction of the stations will begin in 2018 and is expected to be completed by 2021. The COLTS station includes public fueling. Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will receive a 15 percent royalty, excluding taxes, for each gallon of fuel sold to the public, which will be used to support the cost of the project.Other agencies receiving the stations include&#8226; Cambria County Transportation Authority, Johnstown Facility &#8212; includes public fueling.&#8226; Central Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, York Facility &#8212; includes public fueling.&#8226; Mid Mon Valley Transportation Authority&#8226; Cambria County Transportation Authority, Ebensburg Facility&#8226; Westmoreland County Transportation Authority&#8226; Centre Area Transportation Authority&#8226; Beaver County Transportation Authority&#8226; Crawford Area Transportation Authority&#8226; New Castle Area Transportation Authority &#8212; includes public fueling.&#8226; Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority, Allentown Facility&#8226; County of Lebanon Transportation Authority&#8226; Altoona Metro Transit&#8226; Central Pennsylvania Transportation Authority, Gettysburg Facility&#8226; Butler Transportation Authority&#8226; Indiana County Transportation Authority &#8212; includes public fueling.&#8226; Erie Metropolitan Transportation Authority &#8212; includes public fueling.&#8226; Mercer County Regional Council of Governments&#8226; Fayette Area Coordinated Transportation System&#8226; Monroe County Transportation Authority&#8226; Area Transportation Authority of North Central PA, Bradford Facility&#8226; Area Transportation Authority of North Central PA, Johnsonburg Facility&#8226; DuBois, Falls Creek, Sandy Township Joint Transportation Authority&#8226; Lehigh and Northampton Transportation Authority, Easton Facility&#8226; Schuylkill Transportation System&#8226; Transit Authority of Warren County&#8226; Capital Area Transit&#8226; Port Authority of Allegheny County<style>
