<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; Eric G. Conahan, 26, of Trucksville, was stunned by police Tasers twice early Friday and is now facing charges of resisting arrest and related counts.</p><p>According to a criminal complaint:</p><p>About 1 a.m., an officer on patrol found an occupied red Jeep Cherokee parked in the lower lot of the Wilkes-Barre Lodge on Kidder Street.</p><p>As the officer was exiting his vehicle to check the Jeep, a male exited the passenger side of the Jeep and asked why police were &#8220;harassing them.&#8221;</p><p>Police ordered the male, eventually identified as Conahan, back into the vehicle. He did not comply and continued to yell at officers.</p><p>The officer was able to get Conahan&#8217;s left wrist in a handcuff before he turned away and tried to run. The officer, who kept his grip on the right handcuff, attempted to get Conahan under control.</p><p>Two more city officers arrived and tackled the suspect to the ground.</p><p>Conahan, 193 Oak St., continued screaming and resisting arrest.</p><p>An officer drew his Taser and ordered Conahan to place his hands behind his back, but he did not comply. That&#8217;s when he was jolted by the Taser for the first time.</p><p>Conahan continued to resist and tried to get up, so officers used the Taser on him again.</p><p>Wilkes-Barre Township Police then arrived and officers took Conahan into custody.</p><p>Those staying at the lodge were on the balcony videotaping the incident.</p><p>In Conahan&#8217;s wallet, officers found a rolled-up $1 bill that contained &#8220;a fine white substance.&#8221; They also found a piece of straw with a crystal-like substance inside the wallet.</p><p>In addition, police learned state parole authorities had an outstanding warrant for Conahan.</p><p>He was taken to Wilkes-Barre General Hospital, but later released into police custody.</p><p>After a preliminary arraignment before District Judge David Barilla, Conahan was sent to the county lockup for lack of $3,000 bail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing 10 a.m. May 5 before District Judge Thomas Malloy.</p><style>

Cops: Man resisted, stunned by Tasers outside WB hotel
