DALLAS TWP. &#8212; Misericordia University is holding an open house program on the Back Mountain campus for high school students and their parents 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., April 29. The program offers an informative tour of the more than 124-acre campus, meetings with Misericordia students, faculty and coaches, as well as information sessions with admissions and financial aid counselors.Registration begins at 9 a.m. in the Anderson Sports and Health Center. There is a special &#8216;Meet the Coaches&#8217; session 9-10 a.m. The day&#8217;s schedule includes lunch, campus tours, a faculty session and meetings with representatives of student services, athletics and financial aid. A session is also available about the university&#8217;s Alternative Learner&#8217;s Project for students with learning disabilities.Misericordia University offers a liberal arts curriculum with academic programs leading to bachelor, master and doctoral degrees. Several new academic programs have been added and the regions only entry-level Bachelor of Science degree in diagnostic medical sonography is also offered.A new statistics major is available in the College of Arts and Sciences for the beginning of the fall 2017 that leads students to a wide variety of career choices in business, industry, government or graduate school. <ins>It features core classes and specially designed courses in mathematics, computer science and statistics.</ins>To register or for more information, contact the admissions office at 570-675-4449, 1-866-262-6363, or e-mail admiss@misericordia.edu.
