<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; A Hazleton man who forced a 15-year-old girl into a bedroom and raped her last year was sentenced Thursday to five to 15 years in state prison.</p><p>Jose Enrique Mejia-Rosario, 21, of Green Street, previously pleaded guilty to raping the teen girl at a Hazleton house party in May.</p><p>Prosecutor Angela Sperrazza said the victim&#8217;s life was flipped upside down forever by the crime, noting the teen couldn&#8217;t even bring herself to attend the hearing to address her attacker.</p><p>&#8220;He showed no remorse at all,&#8221; Sperrazza said of Mejia-Rosario.</p><p>According to an affidavit, the victim reported she went into an upstairs bedroom with Mejia-Rosario and two others, and was quickly forced to fend off Mejia-Rosario&#8217;s advances when left alone with him. She fled downstairs, but Mejia-Rosario chased her down and dragged her back into the bedroom.</p><p>There, Mejia-Rosario forced himself on her despite her pleas for him to stop. As she tried to run away, Mejia-Rosario slapped her in the face and told her he was stronger than her, the affidavit says. When it was over, he warned her &#8220;something would happen&#8221; to her if she told anyone.</p><p>Mejia-Rosario must register as a sexual offender for life with State Police.</p><p>However, he was not deemed a sexually violent predator.</p><style>
