Maddy O&#8217;Donohue had a big week for the Delaware Valley softball team as she led the Aggies to four Freedom Conference victories in two days.The sophomore, a Nanticoke grad, went 12 for 20 with seven RBI and 10 runs scored in that stretch &#8212; 16-5 and 15-8 wins over the College of St. Elizabeth last Thursday, followed by 6-3 and 7-6 triumphs over FDU-Florham last Saturday.Against St. Elizabeth, she was 8 for 11 with six RBI and eight runs scored, aided by a double, a triple and a home run. The leadoff hitter was 4 for 9 with an RBI and two runs scored against FDU-Florham.On the season, O&#8217;Donohue is hitting .400 (28 for 69) with four doubles, a triple, a team-high four home runs, 17 RBI and a team-high 21 runs scored. She catches and plays some third base for the Aggies and has a .958 fielding percentage.&#8220;Maddy has done a great job as the new leadoff batter, she has been strong behind the plate and even when we have asked her to play third because of injuries,&#8221; coach Maggie Kichler said. &#8220;She is a strong presence on a young team.&#8221;Delaware Valley is 8-13 overall and 3-9 in league play with two doubleheaders left on the schedule this week against Ursinus and Eastern.McClain on a rollSenior Josh McClain has been a force out of the bullpen for the West Chester baseball team all season long. But the 6-foot-4, 230-pound right-hander has been especially tough the past four games for the Golden Rams with two saves and two victories.In 8.2 innings, the Tunkhannock grad has given up three hits and no runs. McClain, who is 6-0 with four saves and a 1.65 earned run average in 14 games, picked up saves in victories over Millersville (6-2) on April 9 and St. Thomas Aquinas (3-0) on April 12.He got a win when he pitched four innings and gave up a hit and no runs in a 10-5 victory over Kutztown (10-5) on April 13 and pitched one inning, giving up just a hit to get the victory against Bloomsburg (10-9) on Sunday.Rome moves to the topWilliam &amp; Mary junior distance standout Regan Rome competed in the prestigious Virginia Challenge last Saturday in Charlottesville, Va., and finished seventh in the 5,000-meter run.The All-American and Dallas grad posted a time of 16:10.03, which moves her to the top of the Colonial Athletic Association leaderboard. It&#8217;s also the 11th fastest time outdoors in the event in William &amp; Mary history.Rome is also on the top of the leaderboard in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 33:36.19 &#8212; the only time in her career she has raced the distance &#8212; and is second in the 800-meter run with a personal record time of 4:23.89.New heights for BennettElon sophomore Ellie Bennett hit a personal record height in the pole vault at the Tiger Classic on April 8 in Auburn, Ala. The Crestwood grad cleared 11 feet, 3.75 inches, which was a personal record and matched her indoor personal record, finishing 11th.At Elon&#8217;s Phoenix Invitational on April 15, she was third with a height of 10-11.75. Last weekend, she finished 10th at the Duke Invitational with a 10-10 effort.Dissinger on the boardShippensburg junior Bryanna Dissinger is currently ranked second in the 3,000 meter steeplechase on the PSAC women&#8217;s outdoor track leaderboard.She earned the spot when she finished 16th at the Bison Outdoor Classic on April 15 in Lewisburg with a personal record time of 11:02.41. She finished fifth in the steeplechase at the PSAC Championships as a freshman.The Dallas grad is also on the board in the 5,000-meter run. She stands 18th with a time of 18:28.15. That was recorded when she finished second in the Fred Hardy Invitational on March 24 in Richmond, Va.Gavin battling in netMoravian is in its second season fielding a women&#8217;s lacrosse team, and sophomore Kelly Gavin has been doing the job in goal for the Greyhounds, who have no seniors and just four juniors on the roster.Gavin, a Shavertown native and Wyoming Seminary alum, has started all 13 games for the team, which stands 6-7. The Greyhounds are 0-5 in their first season in the Landmark Conference.As a freshman, Gavin played in 15 games with 13 starts and gave up 167 goals with 117 saves as the Greyhounds finished 6-10 playing as an independent.McCrum helping HawksJordan McCrum has a 3-3 record starting on weekends for the Monmouth baseball team, finishing with a no-decision in two recent starts.The Dallas grad pitched 6.2 innings and gave up six hits and an unearned run with two walks and seven strikeouts on April 14 as the Hawks pulled it out with a five-run eighth for a 7-2 victory over Marist.Last Saturday, he pitched 4.2 innings and gave up three hits and two runs, both earned, with six walks and a career high 10 strikeouts as Monmouth rallied for an 8-6 victory over Niagara.Tidball makes the listRedshirt freshman Jack Tidball is running distance races for the Liberty men&#8217;s outdoor track team. The Tunkhannock grad stands fourth on the Big South Conference leaderboard in the 5,000-meter run.He posted a time of 15:04.58 while finishing first at the Charleston Southern Spring Break meet on March 17.He&#8217;s also sixth in the 10,000-meter run after his time of 31:47.83 was good for second place at the High Mount Invitational on March 31.Telesco at his bestFreshman thrower Carlo Telesco has already achieved his personal best in two events with the Ursinus men&#8217;s outdoor track team.The Meyers grad finished 17th in the discus at the Widener Invitational last weekend in Chester with a toss of 131 feet, 11 inches. That stands 12th on the Centennial Conference leaderboard.On April 12 at the Gwynedd Mercy Mid-Week Twilight meet in Gwynedd Valley, he finished fourth in the shot put in 41-5.75, which stands 11th on the league&#8216;s performance list.Coffin running wellSenior Hannah Coffin is competing in the steeplechase and the 1,500-meter run for the Alabama-Birmingham women&#8217;s track team this spring.The Crestwood grad finished 18th in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Virginia Challenge last weekend in Charlottesville, Va., with a time of 10:41.16 &#8212; the second fastest time in Conference USA this spring.On April 14, Coffin finished first in the 1,500 at the South Alabama Invitational with a personal best time of 4:32.48.<style>
