Officials say little, investigation continues into Redeemer student’s alleged threat

Officials: Dangerous items being placed on Newport Township trails

<p>WEST HAZLETON &#8212; A Luzerne County man with a history of drug arrests was found with heroin and cocaine last month, police say.</p><p>Cory Bezdziecki, 31, White Haven, was arrested after police encountered him around 7:40 p.m. April 17 near Advance Auto Parts in West Hazleton.</p><p>Bezdziecki left the area in a vehicle prior to officers completing record checks, but the vehicle was later stopped and he was taken into custody without incident, authorities report.</p><p>During the stop, police said they found Bezdziecki had heroin and cocaine concealed on his person.</p><p>According to court documents, Bezdziecki has faced numerous drug charges over the past two years, including spending time behind bars for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance and manufacturing a controlled substance, both felonies.</p><p>For the latest incident, he has a preliminary hearing set for May 24 in front of District Judge James Dixon.</p><style>
