<p>If there was one thing Geno Lewis got out of going to the Cincinnati Bengals&#8217; rookie minicamp, it was that he received some valuable experience for next time.</p><p>While the Wyoming Valley West and Meyers alum left Ohio without an undrafted free agent deal in his hand, Lewis got the next best thing. He was invited to the Seattle Seahawks rookie minicamp, which starts Friday.</p><p>Lewis heads out west Thursday.</p><p>&#8220;I think this was a great starting step for me &#8212; going to another camp,&#8221; Lewis said. &#8220;When I was in Cincinnati, coach Marvin Lewis, he told us, &#8216;Guys, make sure you that you stay in shape and stay prepared because you guys can get a call just like that &#8212; that fast.&#8217; Obviously he was right.</p><p>&#8220;Fortunately both of the rookie minicamps were on two different weekends. Seattle told my agent to let them know what happens with the whole Cincinnati thing and if I&#8217;d be able to come out to their rookie minicamp, they&#8217;d invite me out too.&#8221;</p><p>Even though he didn&#8217;t get the result he wanted, Lewis left Cincinnati proud of his efforts. There were only one or two plays he would have liked back the entire weekend, and even scored a touchdown on Sunday.</p><p>The Bengals told his agent, Marty Magid, that he was &#8220;reliable, great worker, smart, very attentive and represented myself very well.&#8221; They also liked what they saw from the former Penn State wideout on special teams.</p><p>Lewis said that the Bengals also told Magid, that if anything changes in the receiving room that they&#8217;d give him a call.</p><p>&#8220;I just tried to take advantage of every opportunity out there,&#8221; Lewis said. &#8220;I met some great coaches. Just going out there and playing football again. It was fun and I was happy to be there making plays and just putting it all out there.&#8221;</p><p>The only negative feedback Lewis received was that the Bengals wished he was a little faster.</p><p>&#8220;I&#8217;m just glad I got that first step in Cincinnati and they gave me the opportunity,&#8221; Lewis said. &#8220;I&#8217;m going to be able to play a lot faster when I get to Seattle, just because I know what to expect now.&#8221;</p><p>Lewis&#8217; back was up against the wall going into Bengals minicamp.</p><p>The already have a stud No. 1 wide receiver in A.J. Green, and spent two of their draft choices on the position &#8212; a first rounder on Washington&#8217;s John Ross and Tennessee&#8217;s Josh Malone in the fourth round.</p><p>However, in Seattle, things are a little different.</p><p>The only household name on the roster is Doug Baldwin. And while they also selected two wide receivers in April&#8217;s draft, the pair came in the third and seventh rounds &#8212; Michigan wideout Amara Darboh and East Central&#8217;s David Moore, respectively.</p><p>&#8220;I think Seattle&#8217;s a great opportunity. I know they&#8217;re looking for receivers,&#8221; Lewis said. &#8220;I think there&#8217;s a great opportunity there. There&#8217;s some great receivers there right now, but I feel like that&#8217;s a spot that I can try to take advantage of and put my foot in the door.&#8221;</p><style>
