Snap plunges after 1Q report

<p>Dupont borough council President Stanley Knick Jr. was nominated this week to the Pennsylvania Board of Game Commissioners by Gov. Tom Wolf.</p><p>Knick is in line to fill the vacant District 7 seat previously held by Wilkes-Barre City Fire Chief Jay Delaney, whose term expired April 7, 2015. Delaney continued to serve on the board under an extension until Sept. 18, 2015, and the seat has been vacant since.</p><p>Knick is in his 12th year on Dupont council, and he ran for Luzerne County Council as a Democrat in 2011. Knick owns the Knick Fence Co. in Dupont.</p><p>The PGC board is comprised of eight members representing each region of the state. Each board member is nominated by the governor and must be confirmed by a majority vote of the state Senate. Commissioners serve four-year terms and may be reappointed for a maximum of two additional terms. Commissioners, who receive no compensation, establish policy for the PGC.</p><style>
