<p>WILKES-BARRE &#8212; The state has awarded the City of Wilkes-Barre a $200,000 grant to fund the second phase of the city&#8217;s financial feasibility study to formulate a plan for regaining financial stability.</p><p>State Sen. John Yudichak announced the grant at a press conference in City Hall with Mayor Tony George, members of city council, state Rep. Eddie Day Pashinski and representatives from the state Department of Community Development&#8217;s Center for Local Government Services.</p><p>Yudichak said the city administration and its financial adviser, PFM Group, will use the grant to develop enhanced financial reporting, coordinate a collective bargaining strategy, analyze potential deficiencies in the city&#8217;s tax collection system and complete an efficiency study of municipal services programs.</p><p>Check back to timesleader.com for a complete story later today.</p><style>
